Approximately twenty-five thousand households in south-east Queensland found themselves without power on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the area, producing strong winds reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Ice Stones and Extensive Damage
Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones reaching sizes of seven centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

State Emergency Services received over five hundred emergency reports across the region, mainly for property damage but also for fallen timber and flooding.
